This white and gold neoclassical piece would be an excellent adornment for a Hollywood Regency space, or a more traditional one.Wide platform top, fluted standard culminating in tri-sided base with paw footing. Painted white with gilt decoration throughout, foliate designs and torch image to the base. Probably early 20th century or late 19th century.Provenance: collection of Dr. Albert de la Chapelle and his wife Dr. Clara D. Bloomfield, award winning Ohio State University professors and researchers in medical science. Albert de la Chapelle was originally from Finland where he was a noted collector and established an art museum.This handsome piece is 59" height, 13" diameter of surface. See
